[Tech]Windows 7 and Xbox One WIRED Controllers?
So I got an amazon gift card for my birthday and considered finally getting an xbox controller for my gaming PC's. Atm I'm still running windows 7, eventually planning to get a better rig with windows 10 probably.

Being that it's third party, I wasn't too sure about a lot of things, but a friend tells me that Xbox One wired controllers won't work on Windows 7 but will work on anything newer. I was wondering if this was true or if there were any work-arounds? I'd love to get this controller for now and as something I'll be able to use in the future on my newer PC. Just wanna make sure I'm not wasting money on a controller that can't even function on my PC atm. All the more if it's from a third party where maybe even microsoft's drivers for Xbox controllers wouldn't support it or something? Any help would be appreciated, I've been looking around and my results yield 50/50 results so far x.x;
